Shane Kenny is a singer/songwriter from Wexford, Ireland who is on the verge of releasing his second album, the follow up to his 2009 release "Lost in the Madness of Crowds".The album titled ""8 Miles out"" is a 24 track double album and is due to be released within the next couple of months. The first single ""Rolls off your tongue"" was released in April and by teaming up with Florida based record label Musik and Film, the song has to date been picked up by more than 3000 radio stations worldwide and it is expected that the next single ""Threw it all away"" will surpass this success.

It may be hard to pinpoint an artist that his music sits comfortably with regards to the style but Shane has been influenced by artists including Tom Petty, Warren Zevon and Bruce Springsteen and some songs have had comparisons with Iron Maiden, Bon Jovi and also Mumford and Sons to name but a few.
Since releasing his debut album, Shane has appeared as a support act to such artists as diverse as Mick Flannery, Mundy, Duke special, Jerry Fish, The Hot Sprockets, The 4 of Us, The Original Rudeboys, The Barley Mob, The Cabin Collective, Lazek, Southern Tenant Folk Union, The Niall Toner Band, Declan O"Rourke, John Spillane,Cathy Davey, The Irish Tenors among others.
Shane recorded his latest album with the help of some of the best musicians in Ireland including Brendan Keane, Dave Duffy, Peter Tierney, Michael Egan, Clem Dake and Dominic Mcevoy and his touring band includes at times some of the above mentioned and also the extremely talented Richie Roche and Martin Crosbie and the schedule for the coming year and beyond is set to be very busy.
